Tic Toc goes the clock! The date of the Royal Wedding of the year is around the corner!
Prince Harry and the American actress Meghan Markle will tie the knot on Saturday 19th May 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The Rt Rev. David Conner (Dean of Windsor) will conduct the ceremony while the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will marry the couple.
The groom, Prince Harry is a member of the British Royal Family and sixth in line to the throne, a grandson of Her Majesty The Queen and also known as The Prince of Wales. He is the younger son of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The bride, Meghan Markle is an American actress born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are Thomas Markle and Doria Radlan.
Prince Harry asked his brother Prince William to be his best man. No information is available yet for the dress and bridal train of Meghan. It has been reportedly said that Mr Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle and her mum Doria will travel with her by car to St George’s Chapel.
Meghan Markle is set to make a speech on her wedding day. It will be the first time in the Royal British history for a bride to make a speech. Meghan has just recently been baptised as a wish of Her Majesty The Queen.
This couple-to-be has also broken tradition by choosing to get married on a Saturday. Royal Weddings are usually done within the week.
Spice Girls are amongst the celebrities invited to the Royal Wedding as well as the intimate evening reception. Sarah Ferguson who is the Duchess of York has not been invited to the evening reception. She is the ex-wife of Prince Andrew. She will attend just the church service.
Prince Harry and Meghan would like their guests, friends and families to respect these three rules; no swords, no phones and no gifts.
