The coronavirus pandemic has changed our habits, our routine, and our ways of looking at life. There are many of us who are looking forward to having a few beers or glasses of wine with our friends in a pub or having a barbecue or going to see a football game at the stadium. The post today will highlight some global changes and life after the coronavirus.
In every little chatter up and down the country, you hear friends/family talk of going back to normal. What exactly is normal? The moment we realise that some of the changes caused by Covid-19 might stay with us for the rest of lives, the better we will be able to accept these changes and make the most of this situation.

Let’s remember to take a day at a time because ‘slow and steady wins the race’ according to Robert Lloyd. Something perculair stands out in the comments of analysts and in everyday conversations “the world will no longer be the same after this pandemic.”
So, what are some of the changes we have experienced because of the Coronavirus pandemic?
Let us admit it, the use of technology has literally rescued us. We’ve had virtual meetings through platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, Skype, or Facebook. Through them, conferences, work meetings, talk with family/friends, distance classes, etc. have been held with ease.
Due to the home confinement caused by the Coronavirus, most companies have had to move their jobs and activities online. A lot of organisations have witnessed that telecommuting is possible, as well as being a cheaper option. I think this has come to stay! Are we in agreement?

Reflecting over the past 12months, we can see and conclude that the use of technology is an essential tool in any remote work process. Our attitude towards work can also change because of this. The coronavirus has highlighted how an external factor can change the situation of any employment overnight.
During our lock down and confinements, we have observed what life would be like in a “greener” world. The use of transportation was significantly reduced and, consequently, carbon dioxide levels have dropped, as well as pollution. But we have also learned to recycle correctly.
One of the key pointers emerging from the coronavirus crisis is that every little effort to help our planet is crucial because nature has been our main source of sanctuary.
The coronavirus crisis has caused the emergence of a multitude of kindness and solidarity initiatives to help the most vulnerable and keep the mind active during the days of confinement.
Many citizens and organisations have decided to take action to mitigate the effects of the pandemic. The Internet and social networks have served as a channel to organise many initiatives whose objective was to help those who are suffering due to the pandemic.
I honestly feel this pandemic has awakened the solidarity of humanity. People are a lot more accommodating and tolerant and I hope this will continue and move into neighbourhoods, cities, and countries. Imagine if we’re able to plant seeds of love, hope and kindness, our children will grow up in a world with unnecessary pain and sufferings.
A major lesson we have learned throughout these unprecedented times, is that if we all work together and united, we can achieve anything, and the world will be our oyster (smiley face).
THE WAY TO RELATE/BEHAVE. We will have to relearn how-to live-in society and how to manage our interpersonal relationships without crossing limits or put our health and that of others at risk.
Little by little, we will adapt and note how these new social changes will work, and if we will ever go back to ‘normal’. Will this be possible? Story for another when hopefully we will be comfortable with the life after Coronavirus.

I don’t think I have any idea what ‘normal’ is anymore after the past year, but I definitely think technology is a part of it now too and I’m grateful that we’ve got technology to keep us connected with friends and family. I love the fact more people have realised the benefits of nature and begun to appreciate it more, so I hope this continues. I actually feel a little overwhelmed about going back to how busy life used to be, so taking it one day at a time is definitely a great tip. I also think life after coronavirus could be an opportunity to look at things that we liked about our lives before and change things that weren’t working well. Great post.

Thanks so much Gemma for your wonderful input to supplement this article.
I’ve really enjoyed the slow pace of life during the lockdown and I’m a little apprehensive just like you, of us going back to that hyped way of life. Thanks for reading and your input is greatly appreciated xx
