Millions of people make New Year’s resolutions every end of year to begin the new year. What I have noticed is that the most common resolutions sway around health, fitness, finance, job, personal development and learning something new.

10 Most Common New Year’s Resolutions

  1. Lose weight

  2. Exercise more

  3. Quit smoking

  4. Spend less (saving more)

  5. Healthy diet

  6. Debt management

  7. Learn a new skill

  8. Get a better job

  9. Get organised

  10. Spend more time with the family

It is not an easy task to change your habits in other to achieve your new goals for the year. Most often, we focus our resolutions on things we believe haven’t progressed in our lives and actually forget to enjoy the little progress that we may have made. In my previous post, 5 Inspirational New Year’s Resolution Quotes Just For You, I said we should not pressurise ourselves in the quest for change in our lives. Change though is constant, may not be instant. However, what you need to do in order to achieve your goals for the new year is to actually put words into action.

Put Your New Year’s Resolutions into Action

In this coming year, you should focus more on yourself and less on others – stay committed in whatever you do because commitment and success are bed-fellows. Once you start looking at other people, you may miss your track and become depressed easily. If you want to achieve whatever you want to do, you must choose your own path and stay focus. Achievers take the path others wont want to take.

I wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
